We are looking for a strategic, results-oriented leader who will manage planning, processes, and systems for our marketing team. As a member of the Marketing leadership team, you will help deliver the strategy for our pipeline management, investments, tools and budget that align to our strategy.This is a new senior management role reporting to the VP of Marketing Operations and with significant visibility at the AVEVA Executive team. The job holder will be responsible for growing a team of Operations Specialists covering all aspects of marketing and will be empowered to structure this team in a manner to drive outstanding achievement, analytics and best practice development. The role requires working closely with the AVEVA executive team, HR, Sales, Finance, Regional Operations, Solution Strategy & Business Strategy.In the role, the candidate would be a strong team player with exceptional marketing strategy, portfolio marketing, demand generation and channel marketing understanding, operations and communication skills. This position will work side-by-side with the VP of Marketing Operations as well as the Americas, APAC and EMEA Regional Leaders. It is also critical that this role build a strong working relationship with the Sales Enablement and Sales Operations functions.Senior Director Marketing Operations – Houston, TXResponsibilities:• Define the Marketing Operations vision, strategy and analytics• Lead efforts to define and build success metrics for Marketing programs and campaigns.• Coordinate quarterly and monthly executive management deliverables and reporting to senior leadership team• Contribute to and own marketing analytics with a focus on optimizing performance.• Implement best practices to ensure the AVEVA demand gen funnel is in line with industry standards.• Work with key stakeholders (Product Marketing, Campaign Managers, Regional Marketing Leaders, Sales Leaders) to review and present weekly and monthly performance analysis, helping to identify weaknesses and opportunities, as well as solutions for both.• Create common infrastructure and capabilities around reporting and planning to get things done efficiently and effectively.• Lead efforts to define and build success metrics for Marketing programs and campaigns.• Develop and produce reports and analysis on operational data, trends, marketing returns on investments and KPIs.• Run any ad hoc / ‘what if’ analysis informed by operational analytics; including in-depth impact of new processes, vendor expenses and retainers.• Track and analyze performance metrics for marketing campaigns and tactics (email marketing, lead generation and conversion) and make data-based recommendations to the Marketing Campaign Managers on how to improve the impact of the campaigns and help accelerate pipeline growth.• Work directly with the CMO and Finance to create annual Marketing budget, evaluate and build investment cases, and analyze trade-offs. Lead the initiative to measure and track Return on Marketing Investment, and plan the business’s roadmap for ROMI growth, comparing to industry benchmarks.• Lead and contribute to business case development of new initiatives and roadmap to evolve marketing operations efficiency.• Assess and track monthly marketing budget by category and analyze ROI for each marketing function.Skills & Qualifications:• Ability to manage multiple tasks and data review processes, as well as manipulation and evaluation of mass data from multiple sources.• Proficient with large data sets and able to simplify large amounts of data to tell simple and compelling stories through data visualizations and analytical narratives for non-technical audiences• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interpret data providing simple, well thought out conclusions• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, complex environment• Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once• Critical thinking and problem solving are imperative skills for success• Collaborative personality• Strong professional presence with the ability to work with all levels of leadershipAVEVA is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we take pride in the diversity of our employees, valuing the special experience and expertise that people from different backgrounds bring to our business.
