Are you a Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist looking to develop your career in bed-based rehabilitation? If yes, then we have a very exciting opportunity for you to come and work in our new 14 bedded Physical Rehabilitation Unit working as part of an integrated team of predominantly nurses and therapists to support patients with their rehabilitation needs before being discharged home.

Your role as Specialist Occupational Therapist on the unit includes developing skills in the functional rehabilitation of Merton patients and supporting the multidisciplinary team with implementing individualised programmes of care for each patient. This will also include ensuring a robust focus on discharge planning upon admission to the unit for all patients. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to be caring, compassionate, competent and willing to learn new skills. This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week.

You will be supported in your role through work based competencies including receiving support with further training and development opportunities required to perform the role.
