We were created to help more people across the UK benefit from financial advice. This includes using technology to explain how long-term financial planning can add value to people's lives; to give people access to information about their financial wellbeing; and to communicate with their adviser when it's convenient for the client. \n \nOur heritage may be 250 years old, but our sights are firmly set on the future.\nThe newly formed SPW Technology & Engineering function is responsible for building the technology platform to support our new venture. We are entirely in the cloud, taking advantage of powerful commoditised offerings where we can, and building bespoke cloud-native solutions when they can differentiate us from our competition.\n \nWhat you'll do\n \nAs the Digital Technology Lead (fixed term Maternity Cover), you will report directly to the Head of Client & Advisor Technology, with the goal of ensuring that the Digital Ecosystem within SPW supports the constant enhancement of the digital journey for our end clients. This will include working with the business to ensure a seamless digital experience is in place for SPW clients. You will be responsible for managing a small central team to achieve these objectives.\nYou will lead a cross functional team of developers, analysts and UX/CX that will work with key business and technology stakeholders to create and deliver a roadmap that supports increased engagement with SPW and drive the generation of leads through our digital channels. Working with the Architecture & Engineering function, you will ensure that your team adheres to the development and release standards and practices set.\n \nWe believe in an open and collaborative working environment, and we want you to draw upon your experience to establish this culture within the team, whilst ensuring we do not skip over our regulatory obligations around process controls.\n \nJob Description\n \n What we're looking for \n You come from a background of experience with Digital delivery and marketing experience. You have worked on public-facing systems, and understand how to build them to be secure, scalable and resilient.
