My name is S, I am a 54-year-old female who likes to feel and look good, this makes me happy. I need staff to support me to make sure my clothes are pretty, up to date, fashionable and looking smart, and that I don't wear too many layers especially in the summer months which may make me unwell. I like my nails painted each week, my hair regularly cut, and brushed in my style, and jewellery that matches what I am wearing. If I don't feel like I look good, I may have a bad day and might get upset at others. I enjoy singing, parties and the pub. I need staff to work with me and recognise when I may need their support - I also need staff to remind me to do my exercise and eat a healthy balanced diet. I communicate verbally with staff and enjoy reading and word searches. I need staff to read and follow my support plans as they tell staff the things they need to know to support me. I need staff to help me stay safe and well by helping me take my medication. I have staff support in the community to go to the shops, hairdressers and to attend my activities. I also need staff to help encourage me to clean my room and not to hoard too many magazines. Staff also encourage me on down days, by reminding me how well I have done and am doing and by offering their continued support and kind words, this makes me feel good. I want positive staff to support me to help me make choices each day, and to support me to try new activities. I want staff to support me to understand information so I can stay safe and make decisions myself and so that I can achieve my goals but at my own speed so I can learn and develop new skills for the future.

We're looking for someone who is understanding, and passionate about providing great, individual and personalised care to our residents. We provide all new colleagues with training to support people and their needs so previous experience in a care role isn't essential but would be beneficial.

What we'd like to give you:

  • A rewarding job, full of variety and opportunities for career development
  • Brilliant, ongoing training to help you achieve more
  • Support of an experienced and friendly team of colleagues
  • A range of salary sacrifice benefits, cashback rewards, pension options and much more!
  • Access to our Career Pathways, which will help shape your career with us - you can work towards goals and milestones that will take your career in whichever direction you wish
