Working as a business analyst, the Trade Insights Executive is responsible for supporting the Trade Insights Manager with the development and tracking of trade insights and best practices that drive profitable growth solutions for all our UK Trade teams, across all Categories, Channels and Areas.


Sales Analytics

Analyze the market, brand and SKU performance by comparing the market sell out and shipment data at a Channel, Customer and Area level, identifying opportunities for BAT to improve sales performance. Including, but not limited to, updating the input of our assortment analytics models, and analyze output in order to recommend optimal assortment across channels and accounts. Create and maintain performance reports and trackers to provide Sales Insights, including market trends and overviews, combined with relevant ad-hoc analysis. Develop high end Power BI templates for BAU reports as well as new requests, continuously evolve existing reports, and support the TMLT with any data requests. Monitor competitive activities and analyse competition strategies. Consolidate findings and write informative and actionable reports on competitive intelligence. Support the Trade Insights Manager with creation of recommendations for counter actions and contribute to the Cycle Planning.

Field force Performance

Create, maintain and continuously develop Power BI sales reports at a TMR, Area, Region and Country Level Support Field Force deployments strategy, including but not limited to Incentive planning, Targeting, Retail Classification Modeling, Trade Coverage Planning etc. Partner with the Trade Systems team to recommend revisions to existing reports and assist in the development of new reporting tools. Support with Field Force KPI tracking. Identify and support initiatives which drive sales and/or profit growth and capitalize on geographical market dynamics.


Essential Requirements & Skills


MSc in a quantitative field Experience from a large organisation with exposure to Insights, Marketing, Finance, or equivalent Proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point Experience with macros/VBA and other Business Intelligence reporting tools especially Power BI will be strongly appreciated Analytical, attentive to detail, able to see the big picture Able to deal with large amounts of information and make conclusions Willingness and ability to learn fast Able to work independently Proactive Fluency in English
