Treasury and Tax Accountant As a company with ambitious plans for the future, there hasn't been a more exciting time to join us. Due to consistent continuous growth, we have an exciting newly created opportunity for an experienced Treasury and Tax Accountant to join our group finance function. As the Treasury and Tax Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing all 5 legal entities within the Avara Foods Group. With support from the company's specialist tax advisors, you will ensure up to date requirements are met in line with current taxation legislation. Taking key areas of responsibility for group tax compliance, treasury and working capital management as well as cash flow forecasting. Purpose of the role: As the tax specialist within Avara Foods you will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance and accurate timely submissions, as well as managing the treasury and cash flow requirements for the statutory entities within Avara Foods. You will play a key role in maintaining day to day contact with Avara Foods banking partners. Main responsibilities: Treasury and Cash Flow Drive cash cycle effectiveness working with managers delivering relevant KPIs Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow forecast Prepare and manage capital cash flow and forecast in conjunction with the above Manage Group working capital and RCF facilities Report and manage Group banking covenants and limits Convert foreign currencies as required Deal with banking partner requests/audits Taxation Be the Group's main point of contact with HMRC Provide schedules for the Tax advisors to prepare Group Corporation Tax Returns Review and submission of monthly Group VAT, Intrastat, EEC sales (or equivalent) returns Preparation and submission of other annual HMRC returns, including PSA, CCL Prepare and pay the Group quarterly corporation tax payment on account Manage internal actions arising from topical tax issues for the Group e.g. IR35, Brexit Ensure Group tax control schedules are up to date and report to Senior Account Officer on a regular basis of key areas of development/concern Work with other departments to ensure other tax considerations and requirements are met Prepare and submit tax schedules as requested by JV Shareholder What we are looking for: ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified with experience in a broad range of business taxes. You will also be able to demonstrates clear experience & technical understanding of accounting principles & taxation legislation. Conversant and comfortable with information technology inc. integrated ERP systems, systems design and implementation. You will be willing to support business decisions beyond functional contribution and able to understand & interpret all the factors & conditions which impact financial performance and to translate those into proposals on which others can act. Effective working relationship building skills are essential to ensure all issues are articulated with clarity and conviction. Solid organisational skills, good presentation skills and ability to motivate others is needed with an excellent team working ethos and self-commitment in achieving goals.
