Permanent Equine full or part time Veterinary Surgeon Axminster Devon (VETSEEK-0683) We are recruiting a permanent Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join a large mixed animal practice in the beautiful location of Axminster Devon. This is a full-time role working 4.5 days per week with 1 night in 4 on duty, 1 weekend in 4 on duty. There is a 5 Vet team in total and the practice will also accept applications from newly graduated equine veterinary surgeons. The practice is expanding and is looking to now increase their equine team further. This is an independent farm and equine practice which provides in clinic treatment facilities as well as home visits and an ambulatory service. About the role: Whilst the practice is looking for someone who will fit well into the team previous experience would be a benefit however there is plenty of support available for a newly graduated surgeon. This role will be 100% equine so perhaps if you are a mixed vet looking to move solely into equine or already an equine vet looking for a new challenge then this role could be for you! The practice values the importance of a work / life balance so working a 4.5-day week and a 1:4 weekend (with a day off in lieu after working a weekend) enables this. However, as it is important to get the right fit within the practice part time hours would also be considered. Ongoing continual learning is encouraged and supported so the practice would support further education (certificates etc) in areas of special interest.
