The Opportunity: Manager, Finance Business Partner, Fixed-Term Contract

Reporting to the Finance Director/Lead Finance Business Partner in Liverpool, you will provide finance business partner support to operations and quality functions on site.  You will provide financial insights to support decision making to meet local operational demands and drive improved efficiencies.

You will also be the primary finance business partner to the Local Project Management Office (PMO) and the Site Investment Review Board (SIRB). You will partner with the business to prioritize projects and set financial budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial risks are appropriately identified and managed, and ensure financial performance is tracked and fully understood. You will assist with preparation of Business Cases, including cost estimates and ROI calculations, and support the development of financial models for project evaluation and conduct scenario analysis to assess financial implications of various project outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will be required to possess a combination of financial expertise, industry knowledge, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.

The Role:

  • Assists with financial target setting for respective areas of site through budget and quarterly forecast process, and reporting of outputs through clear, descriptive narratives

  • Tracks financial progress of cost centers and projects throughout year.  Look for opportunities to analyse variances and provide value added analysis for input into decision making

  • Owns the site inventory provision and write off process in collaboration with Supply Chain

  • Advises relevant department leaders on technical issues involving accounting and reporting

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and evaluate business cases and manage budgets for both Capital and OPEX projects

  • Collaborate with Liverpool functional leaders and other Finance colleagues across CSL Seqirus and the CSL Enterprise

  • Prepares monthly site capex reporting, including rolling forecast, for companywide consolidation

  • Ensures sound financial controls are in place and adherence to all financial policies

  • Audit support (internal & external)

Your Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent

  • Minimum of 5+ years in industry finance role, preferably in pharma/vaccine manufacturing (at least manufacturing)

  • Experience in managerial cost accounting

  • Experience in Business Partnering (manufacturing preferred)

  • Experience with SAP (FI/CO), PowerBI and BW (Business Warehouse) reporting tools preferable

  • MS Office at advanced level including MS Excel

  • Excellent analytical skills, with a high focus on delivery of financial targets

  • Exposure working in a Global environment.

  • Ability to work well with tight deadlines and in a dynamic environment with multiple deliverables

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to interact with management at all levels

The role is based in Speke, Liverpool

Our Finance Global Shared Service Centre based on the CSL Seqirus site in Liverpool (Speke) supports our 3 main businesses:  CSL Behring, CSL Seqirus and CSL Vifor globally and is expanding. As part of this growth , we are looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant to join the team.  

The role is part of the Account to Report team and is responsible for the timely delivery of accurate f inancial a ccounting activities across a number of entities in the CSL Group .  

This role will include the preparation of complex financial transactions , the oversight of statutory and regulatory reporting , ad-hoc support for special projects , relationship building with our Global Finance Business Partners , all whilst striving for continuous improvement . This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join an international team within an established global company.  

Responsibilities  

  • Prepare and post recurring and standard manual journals, including inter-company entries and topside finance core journals

  • Prepare and post accruals and reclassification entries that do not require discussion or interaction with cost centre owners (e.g. utility journals, insurance expense, payroll corrections, workers compensation and property taxes).

  • Assist with reconciliations, including IC/IG sales and COGS (Cost of Goods Sold), Finance Core confirmations , reconciliations and resolv ing any issues that are due to system/ transactional gaps and flag these to other a nalysts.

  • Support preparation of entity budgets and forecasts including Profit & Loss, Balance S heet and C ashflow S tatement

  • Process allocations (incl. R&D cost allocation), payroll costs and WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) elements based o n monthly timesheets, wages & salaries accounting, share-based calculations , reconciliation with HR (Human Resources) incl uding superannuation & benefit queries and monthly PTO (Paid Time Off) j ournal e ntries

  • Maintain and report on prepaid balance amounts

  • Process simple manual settlements in SAP (outside of RPA process)

  • Assist with National statistics surveys

Qualifications  

  • 1+ years’ experience in accounting and finance role desirable

  • Sound interpersonal skills and ability to influence

  • Effective priority setting and organisation skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to manage and influence all aspects of Cyber Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability Management, but particularly in the development of the threat landscape to Drax. You’ll also assist in the development of Technical Controls in accordance with policy, standards and regulatory requirements.

You’ll help to develop and support senior management with the technical controls and cyber threat intelligence skills within the group-wide security team and through the rollout of tools, technical controls, policies and procedures, and coaching and mentoring. The role will also have responsibility for working with asset owners to ensure that they understand their responsibilities regarding risk and technical security controls.

You’ll deliver against the business strategy, the technical roadmap and objectives set out in the Security strategy – covering group wide security requirements.

Additional responsibilities include:

- Supporting the definition of technical controls matrices, Security Operations Centre (SOC) processes, industrial control matrices and architectural controls, providing oversight to other SMEs in support of their BAU activities and maintaining accurate documentation and record keeping.
- Ensuring controls and risk treatment plans align with our policies and standards.
- Leading threat intelligence and vulnerability management review meetings with key stakeholders and provision of security representation at business unit technical review and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings as required. Effectively communicating all technical controls and mitigations.
- Continuing to develop and improve the Group Cyber Threat Intelligence framework technical controls, industrial controls and architectural controls including the effective management of the required documentation across the Group.
- Recommending and implementing an appropriate toolkit for Cyber Threat Intelligence.
- Technical control reporting.
- Researching threats, Indicators of Compromise (IoCs) and threat actor Tactics,Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) to support Threat Hunting, Signature Development and Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP) processes.
- Providing strong technical oversight to deliver consistency and quality in technical work across the Group.
- Participating in Audits, Technical Design Authority and Change Advisory Boards as required.

Who we’re looking for

This role requires the ability to interpret Cyber Threat Intelligence and technical controls and communicate effectively to all levels of the organisation.

Ideally, you’ll have a good experience working within IT/OT in an operational or corporate environment with a good knowledge of control frameworks such as ISO27001, ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), NIST, SABSA and IEC 62443 and cyber kill chain.

You’ll have a good knowledge of Risk Management Methodologies such as ISO27005 and IRAM2/security frameworks NIST/NIS CAF/IEC/SoGp Cyber Kill chain with strong IT technical skills to support this knowledge.

You’ll also demonstrate strong communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to take the initiative and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Located in a residential area of Prenton, it provides excellent transport links to the Wirral, Liverpool, and Cheshire. The nursery is easily accessible, being close to the M53, main bus routes, and just 1.5 miles from Arrowe Park Hospital. There are 10 primary schools nearby, enabling smooth transitions for children moving on to school. Free parking is available for staff.

  • Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
  • Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Key Person Role: Oversee children’s development, care needs, and build strong family connections.
Required Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education

  • Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children.
  • Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.
