Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team, responsible for a variety of carpentry and joinery tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and assembly, with the ability to work with both hand and power tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. You will be involved in various projects, including roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
- Carry out roofing tasks as required
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials
- Engage in construction painting to finish projects to a high standard
- Assist with plumbing tasks as needed
- Execute masonry work when required
- Provide support for electrical installations under supervision
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Experience
- Proven experience in joinery, carpentry, or related fields is essential
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques and assembly processes is highly desirable
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Experience in roofing, heavy lifting, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work is advantageous but not mandatory
- A strong commitment to health and safety practices on-site
