Your new role
An Application Support Analyst supporting the OTC Derivatives Front Office environment by performing Level 2 application support duties based on the trade floor.
You will be responsible for:
Fielding support queries from a variety of users (front office, internal operations and external clients) in EMEA and globally.
Take ownership, investigate, log\/track and resolve 2nd level support queries.
Identify areas where support queries can be reduced; and identify, document and potentially implement solutions.
Monitor applications and pre-empt issues, ensuring minimal down time and delivery against service levels
Accurately record incidents and their resolution and use this to facilitate route cause analysis and permanently fix repeat problems.
What you'll need to succeed
Understanding of the full software development cycle
Proven experience in application support in a Front Office \/ Trading Environment
Experience with Core Java 5 (or above), Python, or .NET \/ C#
Proven SME skills on front-to-bank 'Life-cycle-of-Trade' flow for Swaps \/ Equity \/ Credit \/ Listed Options and Futures products.
Experience in L2 support in \"over the counter\" Derivatives or Cash Equities business line.
Hands on skills around monitoring tools.
