Job Title: Full Stack WordPress / WooCommerce Developer

We are a full service ecommerce development agency based in South West London with some very cool clients and great projects. In short, we create e-commerce shops and experiences for high street companies like Boodles, Tom Dixon, The Conran Shop, Missoma, Flying Tiger etc. We are a lovely team of designers, AM/PMs, developers and online marketing specialists. We have an experienced development team working in all areas of e-commerce deliveries, including new builds, site improvements, extension development, site support and R&D.
Due to continued success and growth, we are on the lookout for talented developers to join our team in Richmond.
About the role
This is an exciting and varied role that would suit an enthusiastic and outgoing person with strong initiative and a willingness to learn new things. The position will involve:
Working within a team of developers, project managers and digital marketing to bring together a client’s vision Scoping client requirements and specifying the development work for WooCommerce site changes, both back-end and front-end Auditing client sites and implementing code and performance improvements Contributing to the architecture of solutions, and problem-solving complex issues Attending and contributing at regular project stand-ups and sprint planning meetings
As well as a having a passion for web development and previous experience working within a team environment, the successful applicant will have:
At least 2 years full-stack experience with WordPress/WooCommerce, covering areas such as: Front-end WooCommerce development Internationalisation, Multicurrency, Multisite Caching / Performance Plugin development Architecture of database tables Foundation / Bootstrap Understanding of modern coding practices Demonstrable experience working on currently active websites Experience of working for design/development agencies Experience of working within remote teams JIRA and Confluence use Managing websites, client support post development Elements of project management e.g., requirements gathering, time estimates for the tasks, resource management to fulfil the work, client calls
