We are looking for enthusiastic HGV drivers for our fleet of 18 tonne electric and low-emission diesel trucks. You’ll work a shift pattern that may cover early mornings, late evenings and weekends. Shifts will typically be single daytime shifts carrying out multi-drops around the London area, with some deliveries further afield. Being a delivery driver at Zapp is a physically demanding role, as you help load and unload cages from our Distribution Centre to our dark stores. You may need to help sort goods for delivery at our warehouse before heading out to our stores, so attention to detail is essential.
Whilst delivery experience is helpful, we are most interested in your enthusiasm, focus on excellence and desire to do the right thing and contribute to our success.
The perfect candidate will have the following:
Full UK driving licence (with no more than 3 points and no disqualification within last 10 years) Hold a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Confident at the wheel of a heavy-goods-vehicle Extensive experience driving in central London and surrounding areas Good level of English Flexible and punctual with good time management skills Attention to detail and great communication skills 18+ years old and eligible to work in the UK
Responsibilities: Delivering our products to Zapp dark stores in London and across the UK Carrying out multiple deliveries each shift, often to different locations Regularly checking and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and compliance Receiving, sorting and picking stock for distribution to our dark stores while ensuring inventory accuracy Ensuring any potential vehicle or warehouse hazards are dealt with safely and quickly Comply with transport legislation, including drivers’ hours' regulations and Working Time Directive
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of -£35,000-£45,000p/a. There is also the opportunity to participate in the company’s equity scheme.
