DevOps is a set of practices that works to automate and integrate the processes between software development and operations teams, so they can build, test, and release software faster and more reliably. The term DevOps was formed by combining the words “development” and “operations” and signifies a cultural shift that bridges the gap between development and operation teams, which historically functioned in siloes.
As a DevOps Lead here at Callsign, you will help transform and improve our DevOps capabilities, as well as ensure that all products, services, and projects are designed, delivered, and supported according to business requirements.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant management/supervisory experience, managing teams of DevOps/software engineering professionals of 20+; Expert in SaaS technology such as Dockers, Kubernetes, microservices; Deep experience with deploying to and running real-time complex cloud platforms, with particular experience in Amazon AWS; Working on a security product is a bonus; Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, with proven track record of leading a team to transform the efforts of a technology organization; Experience in an agile environment, and running agile through a modern platform, utilising platform such as Jira, Confluence, Gitlab etc.; Strong communication skills; Demonstrated ability of successfully leading complex development operations for enterprise software; Experience establishing and running Site Reliability Engineering teams; Experience establishing and running 24x7 support programs; Experience recruiting and interviewing for a fast-growth business area.
