Manufacturing organisation in Dundee recruiting a Procurement Manager paying up to £45,000.
Your new company
World leading manufacturer of fuel dispensing and automation equipment based in Dundee are currently recruiting a Procurement Manager in a newly created role. The organisation have experienced growth and are expecting this to continue.
Your new role
As Procurement Manager, you will ensure the timely procurement of goods, services and materials required, specifically for large and small projects, fleet and FM. You will lead a team of 4 Buyers to ensure goods and services are received within the time frame set by the project managers and as per the price/quantity agreed.
This will involve will liaise with a diverse set of stakeholders and working to meet niche requirements whilst ensuring value for money, compliance and risk mitigation. You will aim to identify and understand the needs of the project, offer advice on suppliers and act as a key point of expertise during the budgets, tender or dispensation-from-competition process and see purchases through to completion. You will negotiate prices with suppliers and will manage negotiated margin, product mix, trading account revenues and rebates to hit forecast and rebate targets. You will also identify and develop new supplier opportunities to improve project profitability via lowering the cost of material and services.
What you'll need to succeed
Leadership skills are key to this role and ideally you will have experience managing a team, or will demonstrate strong leadership potential. Experience working in a construction or EV environment where you have led strategic procurement for goods, services and works is required. Strong communication skills are required and the ability to influence and engage a diverse range of stakeholders. This is a fast paced role and you will need to be able to work well under pressure and be able to deal effectively with change and challenges.
What you'll get in return
You will be paid a salary of up to £45,000 (depending on experience) and will have the opportunity to work from home with regular travel to the site in Dundee. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a fast paced leadership role.
