Senior Process Engineer / Technical Head of Department
Toro is working with a UK focused hydrogen and fuel cell project developer, which support businesses to achieve their energy needs with net-zero emissions. They are a small but fast-growing company, with some of the leading global voices in the emerging green hydrogen market on their team.

You will play a key part in some of the most challenging decarbonisation projects that have ever been proposed.
The Position of a Technical Head of Department will involve leading a team of engineers whilst supporting in the development of multiple projects and engaging with the engineering contractors. The ideal candidate will hold leadership, Innovation and engineering experience, As well as, a strong understanding of sustainability, project development and renewable energy.
Main responsibilities on a Head of Technical will include:
* Responsible for the multi discipline technical team and engineering support across multiple projects.
* Play a key part in company innovation whilst reporting to the Director of Innovation and Policy
* Deliver engineering solutions through process design and detailed engineering.
* Support the wider business with engineering tasks on projects and issues as required including business development.
* Detailed design engineering including preparation and review of PFD, P&IDS, Procurement specification.
* Communicate technical studies to various clients and stakeholders in a timely completion
* Plan working schedule for the technical team to ensure project progression
* Monitor team performance to meet project demands
* Prepare and issue schedules, procedures, calculations, data sheets, requisitions in accordance with
project requirements
* Review supplier drawings and specifications against client specifications
* Participate in all project safety and design / HAZOP / HAZID & constructability reviews as necessary
* Ensure a positive working culture among the team while providing guidance to ensure optimum performance
* 10 Years experience as a Process Engineer
* Experience working within Energy Infrastructure projects
* Qualified up to degree level in relevant engineering discipline
* Ability to organise yourself and team members effectively
* Be able to communicate effectively with third parties both written and verbally
* Experienced in risk management and conflict resolution
* Experience dealing with independent certification bodies
* MSc/ PhD in relevant engineering discipline
* Experienced with MATLAB/ Autodesk (Desirable)

* £70/75k per annum
* 28days + public holidays per year
