A ka Recruitment are proud to be working with a local client of ours to bring you a Service Advisor role based in Huddersfield. This role also involves workshop control duties so is the ideal role for someone wanting to step up in their automotive career! Working Monday to Friday 8am to 5:30pm with very occasional Saturday mornings. The salary basic ranges between 27-29k, depending on experience, with a good OTE available on top! Duties Include:
  • Speaking and dealing with customers both face to face and over the phone
  • Initiate service documents, job cards and update customer records on the Kerridge System
  • Upselling of additional products to customers
  • Liaising with Customers to keep them updated on their vehicle
  • Advising customers of costs of repairs and work to be undertaken
Requirements:
  • Experience within the Automotive Service Advisor position is essential
  • Knowledge of the Kerridge system is again advantageous
  • Good Customer Service Skills is a must
  • High attention to detail and organisation skills are essential

The Job:

Working as an integral part of the Service Team, you will be responsible for the smooth running of your service patch; this will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to customers
  • Managing quotes
  • Problem solving and dealing with queries
  • Working closely with internal customers
  • Keeping internal and external systems updated.

About You:

You will already be working as a service-related environment; along with an outgoing personality, you will also need:

  • Able to work under pressure and be reactive
  • Capable of taking ownership from start to finish
  • Be confident and used to working in a very busy, often challenging environment
  • Have strong IT skills and be confident with Excel

As a Service Advisor you will the first point of contact for customers in the Aftersales department, you will check vehicles in and out, liaise with your customers ensuring the best possible customer experience and securing future work as necessary.

With this in mind, we provide ongoing training and development opportunities for our Service Advisors through customer experience workshops.


What you’ll do:

  • Booking MOTs, services and other repair work for our customers
  • Advising customers about warranty cover and upselling additional parts / accessories that will benefit the customer
  • Liaising with the full Aftersales department to organise and schedule appointments, based on workload and call volumes
  • Managing a high-volume of customers daily as well as telephone calls and online booking queries
  • Informing customers of turnaround times and ensuring effective communication throughout the time when a customers’ car is in the workshop
  • Maintaining accurate customer records, and updating the systems when any bookings have been made


About you:

You will have heaps of energy, a warm personality and a real passion for delivering first class customer experiences. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport easily and are able to explain technical information clearly and concise. Previous experience using Kerridge also known as ADP would be an advantage.

For this role you will need to be able to maintain accurate customers records. You will be a great team player but be able to work independently also. We want to hear from you if you have worked in a similar role within the automotive industry or have a passion for customer service and cars!
