I'm recruiting for a Business Analyst to join a join a growing business in Cambridge, with the ultimate goal of driving business performance and enhancing customer satisfaction through optimal use of IT systems and efficient business processes.

It's a hybrid role, with 3 days per week in the office to collaborate with your team and the wider business.

You will analyse existing business processes and systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity - working closely with IT teams to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.

This will involve collaborating with a range of stakeholders to uncover and gather various business requirements, documenting functional specifications and process flows, analysing data in tools such as Excel to uncover trends and insights that can inform decision-making, and then ensuring the successful delivery of appropriate solutions.

You'll continually monitor the effectiveness of these, make improvements wherever possible, and will strive to make a real impact on the company's ongoing success.

This role would be well-suited to an experienced Business Analyst with some data skills, who's looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, with excellent opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role
  • Data analysis and visualization skills e.g. in Excel or Power BI
  • Experience working in an Agile (Scrum) environment
  • Experience with CRM system and business process management software
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills

About the role:

As part of the Commercial Transformation team, our Business Analysts enable effective decision-making, delivering a mix of both strategic and regulatory driven change, ensuring the right solution is delivered to the business

You’ll support the development of compelling and robust business cases founded on accurate root cause of analysis; supported by detailed impacts analysis, evidence-based decision making and benefits measurement. You will have exposure to a wide range of Drax’s business activities.

Working with the business and IT you’ll analyse solution options and recommend the best solution for the business, ensuring the right solution is delivered by defining detailed business requirements and modelling the as-is and to-be states, including processes, information, systems and people.

You’ll communicate and champion the change, supporting stakeholders to both understand and measure benefit realisation in order to validate success.

Who we’re looking for:

You’ll have significant experience of working within a similar role and you'll be able to demonstrate your experience within business analytics within commercial transformation. 

Drawing upon your experience, you’ll be adaptable, working across a varied level and range of projects.  A qualification within Business Analytics or similar would be highly desirable but not essential.

Organised and structured, you’ll be well versed in dealing with a wide range of project documentation, keeping it up to date and relevant in a timely manner.

Your capability to assimilate large volumes of information and translate it into business problems, requirements and solutions will be fantastic – as will your ability to make recommendations based on that information, combined with your understanding of stakeholder need.

The team is a busy one, working at pace in an often evolving environment, so you’ll need to be adaptable and resilient, and enjoy working in a continual improvement environment.

You’ll enjoy a challenge, like variety and relish working in a complex environment. With a proven track record as a Business Analyst, you will have a wide range of analysis skills in your toolkit.

You will have strong facilitation, communication, presentation, collaboration, organisation and stakeholder management skills as well as experience in business analysis techniques, be highly driven with the ability to innovate.

The Purpose of this role is:

As a Senior Commercial Business Analyst you'll deliver insights, learnings and guidance to the commercial team.   • Lead on ongoing sales forecasting across our portfolio of titles across all platforms & third party retailers, providing insights and direction
  • Conduct product lifecycle analysis and direction of promotional activity, subscription deals and other revenue driving strategic deal opportunities 
  • Provide recommendations based on market insights to evaluate and support new partnerships and commercial initiatives
  • Enable best practice in commercial analysis and reporting to different Studio groups
  • Work with Analytics, Data Science and Engineering to create and maintaining dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs)

What we're looking for:

  • Previous sales and commercial analysis of B2C commerce
