The Job Role:
This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing a specialist product sector which includes a range of agricultural seed mixtures used in conservation, root cropping, and environmental land use. The role includes leadership of a small, dedicated team and close liaison with sales, operations, and technical departments. You'll be involved in product planning, supporting sales with technical guidance, creating marketing materials, and helping to shape the direction of this high-potential product group.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the commercial and technical performance of a defined seed product group, including conservation, root, and agricultural crop mixtures.

Lead a small, knowledgeable team and ensure high levels of service, product knowledge, and customer support.

Liaise with internal departments including procurement, logistics, and production to manage stock availability and forecasting.

Track developments in environmental schemes and rural funding to keep the product offer relevant and up to date.

Support the creation of promotional, training, and technical content for staff and customers.

Provide in-field and remote advice to customers and key accounts.

Help develop and maintain trial sites and demonstration plots to support customer understanding and engagement.

Represent the business at trade events, technical days, and customer meetings.

Candidate Skills and Experience:

Experience in agricultural sales, seed, or agronomy, ideally within a technical or product-focused role.

Strong understanding of rural land management, including cover crops, conservation, or root crop systems.

Previous experience in product or team management preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.

Competent with Microsoft Office tools and confident with presentations.

BASIS and/or FACTS useful but not essential.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Personal Attributes:

Commercially focused with a genuine interest in rural sustainability.

Capable of leading a team and influencing across the business.

A confident communicator who can blend technical insight with practical advice.

Highly organised and adaptable.

About the role

As a Sytner Business Manager you will be responsible for helping manage and grow all aspects of the Finance department by being at the core of all sales enquiries and working with the sales team. As a PI Propulsion Planner , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely delivery of accurate, configured Bills of Materials (BoMs) and product specifications.
