Customer Care Technician

A leading house builder have a requirement for a Customer Care Technician to join a busy Customer Care team working on new build housing developments in the North West region.

The company are reputable housing contractor deliver a range of properties from affordable homes for first time buyers through to family homes across the North West region.

You will be working on post completion new build housing developments ensuring all defects are rectified within a professional and timely manner.

Customer Care Technician role:

  • The operative will investigate and complete the rectification of defects, ensuring all work is carried out safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with design standards, specifications and company procedures
  • Work with members of the Customer Care team
  • Uphold and communicate the values and culture of the company
  • Position the company as the builder of choice
  • Investigate and complete the rectification of work needed to conclude NHBC claims
  • Maintain/complete accurate and concise records of repairs
  • To assist on various sites where/when applicable
  • Carry out inspections where required and record programme of works with the customer care coordinators
  • To ensure work is carried out in compliance with the company Safety Policy
  • Ensure best practices are maintained throughout any works
  • Maintain diary
  • Manage material order requests to procure materials
  • Workmanship/Customer escalations to be passed to the Customer Care team
  • Understand stakeholders' expectations post-handover
  • Allocate/attend to defect repairs efficiently and within targets

Skills

The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of working in a customer related environment within a house building/construction industry. You should have a good knowledge of housebuilding and NHBC standards. You will be highly organised, and have excellent communication skills. You will be self-motivated, customer focussed, target driven, trust worthy, positive and a team player. You are able to work on your own and use your own initiative

  • Carry out both electrical and mechanical fault finding, problem solving, planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment to maximise equipment reliability, performance and up time
  • Respond to internal customer needs to maximise production up time according to given priorities
  • Comply with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely
  • Complete all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and is audit ready
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety and/or operational efficiency and effectiveness
SHIFT PATTERN: 4on4off (PM Shift)

Based within the international Customer Care Team, you will oversee the provision of support to customer organisations and certified instructors. As the Customer Service Specialist, you will be responding to and resolving customer’s queries and issues and ensure systems are in place to monitor compliance with company standards and those of certifying bodies.
 
Duties to include:
  • As the Customer Service Specialist, you will be supporting operational change within the team to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Resolving customer queries (telephone/email /online)

  • Respond to internal and external information requests/queries
