Luxborough Court School is a brand-new, purpose-built school registered for 150 pupils aged 5 – 19 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.  There is a large sports hall with changing facilities (the site was formally a Premier League football club’s training ground), a bespoke 6th form suite plus a number of other smaller individual spaces used for therapeutic intervention and bespoke support. The School benefits from extensive outdoor space plus a large central courtyard garden in the centre of the school and separate secondary and junior playgrounds, with a multi-use games area.

There are good public transport connections with Chigwell Station less than a mile away, providing Central Line Tube services to London and Essex. The road links are good - the site is located near the M11, Junction 4.

NonStop Care is currently working with a well-established, growing education provider, they offer SEND and supported accommodation for children and young people across England. They have 14 schools up and down the country and they are looking for an Interim Deputy Head Teacher to support at one of their schools in Croydon.

This is an interim role with a contract in place until April 2026.

There is plenty of career progression and growth possibilities as the company keeps expanding, they have a well-established senior leadership team, 3 senior managers in education, there is plenty of support from a network of OTs and SaLTs. Schools are very open and friendly, there is a vibrant atmosphere, fully staffed, it is a great place to be.

Responsibilities

As an Interim Deputy Head Teacher you will support the senior leadership team, someone with strong leadership within SEN, SEMH is required.

As part of the role you will be supporting the Headteacher, implementing school policies, and leading the senior management team to ensure high standards of education, especially in curriculum and teaching quality for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and SEMH.

Deputy Head of Year - Year 8 - Secondary School

Full Time | Term Time Only | October 2025 Start
Up to 135 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)

Long Term Futures are working with a large, inclusive secondary school to appoint a Deputy Head of Year for Year 8 to start from October 2025.

This is a non-teaching role with a strong focus on pastoral care, behaviour management and attendance support. You'll work closely with the Head of Year, safeguarding leads, and wider support staff to ensure that students in Year 8 are thriving both academically and emotionally.

The role is ideally suited to someone with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or extensive school-based experience in pastoral leadership, behaviour mentoring, or inclusion roles.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide pastoral care and behaviour support for Year 8 pupils
* Monitor attendance, punctuality and engagement, intervening early when needed
* Support the reintegration of students following absence or behavioural incidents
* Build strong relationships with students, families, and teaching staff
* Liaise with the safeguarding and SEN teams to ensure joined-up support
* Contribute to behaviour plans, progress reports and pastoral tracking

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* QTS or significant experience in a secondary pastoral or behaviour support role
* Strong understanding of KS3 challenges, student wellbeing and inclusion
* Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
* Experience working with multi-agency teams and safeguarding structures
* A calm, approachable and consistent presence for students and staff

  The Role

Key Responsibilities
