Accountabilities

-Develop and advise on energy strategy/solutions, developing these into working projects, which meet client objectives and best practice.
-Be responsible and proactive in compliance issues, such as CRC.
-Promote policy and achievements to emphasize how they contribute to its success
-Undertake energy surveys in clients premises
-Manage Air Conditioning Inspections in clients premises
-Develop and implement strategic briefs for design guides /standards to meet the client objectives and brief client departments accordingly.
-Provide full feasibility studies of costed initiatives / projects to reduce energy usage.

-Validate Cofely's monthly invoices for the ICC and NIA, utilising monthly meter readings, as HHD is not currently available for the ICC and NIA. Going forward ensure that Cofely provide NMS with HHD for both the ICC and NIA supplies and use this data for bill validation. Also validate the ICC/ NIA's water invoices. Validate the consumption for the clients' Arena's electricity invoice using the HHD. Also validate the clients' Arena's gas and water invoices.
-Implement and maintain processes and procedures to achieve economic cost in use
-Maintain a current level of utility market intelligence
-Plan, monitor and achieve consumption / emission targets
-Understand Utility supply trading arrangements
-Analyse Utility profiles and benchmark against known data. Liaise with the Energy Bureau to ensure energy management reports are issued to the Clients' specifications.
Qualifications & Experience
-Minimum 5 years experience in energy management
-Chartered Energy Manager
-Extensive working knowledge of Trend BMS and control theory.
-Qualified Low Carbon Consultant
-Qualified to undertake Air Conditioning Inspections
-An appropriate energy related qualification or equivalent in building services engineering. (to Degree level or higher)
-Extensive knowledge of the principle techniques and technologies which support the efficient use of energy.

The role of a Commercial Manager will be taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large and complex infrastructure commissions covering both private and public sector clients. Your role will be to ensure that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added commercial management service.
You'll play a vital role in delivering Commercial Management commissions for our clients. The role will require the successful individual to be confident in liaising with and presenting to both clients and contractors. An attention to detail is essential, but with an ability to position commercial context around the detail that enables our clients to make wider, impactful business decisions is just as important.
The role will cover all aspects of commercial management throughout the whole project lifecycle from initial inception/ business case through to completion/ commissioning.
You will provide Commercial Management Services across a wide range of sectors and will need to be flexible and able to adapt to different client requirements at short notice including working remotely, and happy to travel both throughout the UK and abroad in the pursuit of successful delivery. Travel may at times be frequent and could require time away from your base location.
_Here's what you'll do:_
+ Budget/ baseline development, aligned with our wider controls/ PMO teams, process development, estimation review and assurance, optioneering, inherent risk analysis, procurement/ tender review and assurance, life cycle costing, month end accruals and live forecasting, change and contingency management. Alignment with cost management team and commercial delivery.
+ Identification of process improvement opportunities for cost controls and commercial governance.
+ Interfacing and engagement with project staff including cost, commercial and controls.
+ Management of stakeholders and their expectations through regular communications.
+ Supporting the production of close-out reports.
+ Presentation of outputs and recommendations to clients and their supply chain.
+ Lead engagements when travelling to different sites/locations nationally and internationally.
+ Mentoring junior staff and upskilling both internal and external stakeholders in the arena of cost and commercial management.

+ Good working knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 suite of contracts and associated.
+ Experience of undertaking commercial management as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams.
+ Experience of working as part of a project controls/ PMO process and commercial delivery.
+ Strong report writing and presentation skills.
+ Experience of working within a client organisation, either directly or through a colocation/secondment arrangement.

We have a great opportunity for a EHV Cables Project Manager to join our UK Transmission and Distribution (T&D) team.
WSP's T&D team delivers electrical power projects at transmission and distribution voltage levels. This role is to project manage pre-construction and construction activities (from design to energisation) for large-scale high voltage infrastructure and grid connections at voltage levels normally between 33kV and 400kV.
Our projects would include feasibility, detailed design, procurement, construction, test and commissioning on existing or new substations and associated infrastructure.
**What will you do:**
+ Develop EHV (33kV up to and including 132kV) projects initial functional requirement into compliant cost-effective engineering solutions.
+ Project Manage the development and delivery of EHV Cable projects (33kV up to and including 132kV) to time, cost, safety and quality.
+ Interface with customers as well as internal and external resources to develop and deliver EHV Cable projects.
+ Undertake the role of CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for developed EHV Cable projects.
+ Effectively communicate with internal engineering and industrial resource.
+ Coordinate external service providers and administer commercial.
+ Visit sites to assess project requirements, meet with project team/contractors, monitor work progress, safety audits, discuss engineering difficulties, etc.
**What we will be looking for you to demonstrate.**
+ Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering.
+ Experience managing medium-large scale EHV Cable projects (33kV up to and including 132kV) throughout the full project lifecycle from initiation, specification and design, tendering, construction, energisation through to project closure.
+ A good understanding of electrical distribution plant items such as Switchgear, Power Transformers and Overhead lines.
+ Knowledge of applicable engineering standards.
+ Excellent understanding of the H&S and CDM requirements.
+ An ability to undertake the role of 'Designer' and 'Principal Designer' under the CDM regulations.
+ Ability to travel to client's sites and offices within North East of England and Yorkshire.
