Role Purpose:  

As Energy Finance Manager for the Heat Network at Residential Management Group (RMG), you will manage external billing agents and facilitate the collection of debt. You will ensure customer queries are responded to efficiently and accurately regarding outstanding debt and billing arrangements as well as financial management and reconciliation of the heat network funds

Where is the role based?

You'll be working full time at our offices in Hoddesdon, EN11 0DR

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer queries about the financial position of their district heating accounts.
  • Liaise with billing providers regarding tariff setting and debt recovery.
  • Facilitate the transfer of debt from the billing agent into RMG's processes.
  • Attend meetings with key clients to discuss ongoing issues and plans for resolution.
  • Provide training and coaching to colleagues around the completions processes.
  • Offer an escalation path to assist internal and external customers with complex queries/problems.
  • Follow and adhere to company processes, procedures, and policies.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A background in Accountancy or book-keeping
  • AAT qualified or actively working towards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel (Intermediate Level).
  • High level of attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide consistent high-level customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to make decisions independently and collaboratively, based on reasoned arguments and supported by evidence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Member level IRPM (Institute of Residential property management)
  • Working knowledge of the Heat Network Regulations or the wider utilities sector

It is essential that all candidates applying have a minimum 3 years proven UK work experience in banking or relevant industry experiences. Sponsorship will not be available for this position.

Our Client is looking for a Banking RM/Assistant RM, Project Finance, Power, Renewable Energy and M&A  to join their small team on a permanent basis. This position is full time in office, 5 days per week.

The successful candidate will provide supporting work for pre and post funding, the core focus of this position is to ensure that, all credit applications can be submitted in a timely manner and receive approval efficiently and to make sure all outstanding loans within the portfolio are performing. The successful candidate will also support with tracking loan performance, covenants, raising early warning signs or opportunities from within the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
•    Support Relationship Manager for business credit application, pre and post funding activities, including credit rating, KYC, documentation and system inputs. 
•    Monitoring loan performance within the structured finance portfolio. Including, projects monitoring, quarterly review, annual review, financial covenants monitoring, waiver request processing and post loan monitoring.  
•    Ensuring loans are compliant in terms of contractual agreements.
•    Regular reporting internally for loan performance.  
•    The key goal of this role is to ensure that the Client is able to manage a dynamic portfolio including project finance, M&A, structured finance and real asset finance. 
•    Maintaining a keen interest and awareness of market trends in international business including trends and events in the UK and international infrastructure and M&A markets. 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
•    Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in banking or relevant industry experiences. 
•    Good understanding of Infrastructure and Project finance and M&A and real estate, especially sector knowledge of oil, gas, power, property and renewables. 
•    Good ability to understand complex financing structures and loan documentation. 
•    Strong technical skills and computer literacy. 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
•    Fluent in written/spoken English and Mandarin would be a great advantage, but not essential.
