This impressive business manufactures a range of niche products which are supplied to customers spread across the world. Because of continued and increased demand, they have recently invested in new machinery in order to increase their manufacturing capacity. In order to increase output in their fabrication department, they are now looking for an experienced Engineering Labourer / Driver to join their team of a permanent basis.

This HALIFAX based employer are just a few miles from the M62, the successful Engineering Labourer / Driver will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Huddersfield, Bradford, Wakefield, Leeds, Dewsbury, Rochdale and Oldham.

The successful Engineering Labourer / Driver will be responsible for:

  • Using a Forklift Truck and Overhead Gantry Crane to load & unload vehicles
  • General housekeeping, including emptying machine swarf bins, keeping work areas tidy and clear of hazards, supporting colleagues where required
  • Moving materials, stock & equipment around the facility as required by production & manufacturing schedules
  • Occasional van driving to collect items from suppliers and deliver goods to customers (Full UK Driving license required for this job)


Working Hours of the Engineering Labourer / Driver:
38 Hours per week spread across a standard day shift

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30AM to 5PM


Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Labourer / Driver will include:

  • Annual Salary: Up to 27, per hour)
  • Holiday Entitlement: 34 Days per annum (26 free choice + 8 public holidays)

Your new role

Our client is seeking an Estimator to join their pre-construction team in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their career within a progressive contractor, with clear routes for development. You will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive, and timely tenders across a variety of civil engineering and infrastructure schemes.



Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for highways and civil engineering projects.

  • Reviewing tender documentation and identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.

  • Engaging with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners to secure competitive prices.

  • Producing tender submissions and supporting bid presentations.

- Proven experience in recruitment
- A track record of working to targets and building client relationships

- Negotiate fees to maximise your commercial impact
- Manage and grow client accounts, becoming their go to recruitment partner

- Source candidates through job boards and referrals
- Conduct interviews and manage the full recruitment cycle
- Ensure compliance with RTW checks and internal processes
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and candidates.
