We are currently looking for a Factory Operative to work in Maldon, Essex for a Manufacturing and Production company.

This role is initially a temporary contract but could lead onto something long term for a reliable candidates.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Working in the yard and production areas
• Completing manual handling tasks
• Working in the Paint Shop - assisting sprayers with product
• Providing raw material for machining
• Order picking and packing
• Assisting with loading and unloading lorries
• Moving finished product from the factory to the yard
• General site housekeeping

Hours & Pay:

• Monday - Friday

Factory Operative - Temp to Perm - 16.30 per hour - 30 Hours per Week - Own Transport Essential

We are currently recruiting for a Factory Operative on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business located in the Essex countryside, between Maldon and Tolleshunt D'Arcy.

This is a temporary-to-permanent position: you will begin with an initial three-month period through Prime Appointments, with a view to becoming a permanent employee thereafter.

Role Details:

• Hourly Rate: 16.30
• Hours: 6:30 am - 12:30 pm, five days per week (fixed days, may include one weekend day)
• Flexibility: Shift patterns may be subject to change
• Location: Rural Essex - own transport is required

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor production machinery safely and effectively
• Perform visual quality checks on finished products
• Accurately complete production and compliance documentation
• Set up, adjust, and calibrate machinery as required
• Handle raw materials and products, including manual handling and heavy lifting
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas
• Operate pallet and pump trucks when necessary
• Strictly follow all health and safety guidelines and site procedures

What We're Looking For in our Factory Operative:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing and production environment preferred
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
• Counterbalance forklift licence desirable but not essential
• Own transport is essential due to remote location
• Reliable, punctual, and team-focused
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
• Flexible and adaptable to changing work patterns

You will be working on busy production line-  experience not essential as full training will be offered!

Working hours: 

• 06:00 till 14:00 Monday to Friday
