Our client, a social housing provider in Blackburn is looking for a Housing Support Worker to work within their service in Blackburn that supports vulnerable adults with complex needs such as those facing homelessness and substance misuse issues.


The role is based on a rolling 6 week rota:


Weeks 1/2/3: Monday- Friday: 8am-4pm
Weeks 4/5: Monday- Friday: 12am-8pm
Week 6: Tuesday/ Wednesday 12am-8pm and Saturday/ Sunday 8am-8pm

Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker include:


* Managing a caseload of clients with complex needs
* Liaising with Local Authorities housing teams surrounding new applications
* Supporting in the maintenance of the client waiting list
* Assessing new clients support needs
* Ensuring clients understand, and abide by their tenancy agreements
* Enabling clients to access employment, education and training opportunities
* Safeguarding clients and reporting any concerns
* Monitoring tenants rent accounts and supporting them to maximise their income
* Promoting clients to live independently and build lasting life skills


Essential criteria of the Housing Support Worker include:

* Experience within a similar supported living environment
