We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Worcester!

Role Summary:
  • React to breakdown maintenance requests within the required SLA's.
  • Ensure routine maintenance is carried out to a high standard.
  • Emergency light testing.
  • Fire alarm testing.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors as required for repairs & ensure works have been carried out in line with CBRE policies.
  • Monitor and analyse environmental conditions, review the loading/working conditions of critical equipment regularly.
  • Accurately maintain site work logs & paperwork.
  • Other duties as and when required.


Hours
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8am - 5pm.
  • Overtime available.


Qualifications & Experience
  • 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
  • Experience working with building management systems including fault finding and operator use
  • FM experience advantageous
  • Health & Safety Qualified i.e. IOSH and/or NEBOSH

This position is working on 4 rotating shifts:

Mornings: 06:00am – 14:00pm Monday - Friday

Afternoons: 13:45pm – 22:00pm Monday - Thursday and Friday 12:15pm – 19:15pm

Nights: 22:00pm – 06:00am

Days: 07:00am - 15:30pm Monday - Thursday and Friday 07:00am - 13:00pm

As Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of the day-to-day site maintenance. Working in partnership with the production team, the Maintenance Technician will ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner and to the required standard

To be considered for this role you must demonstrate previous experience working within a process, production or manufacturing environment with relevant engineering background and a proactive approach to site maintenance.

Main Duties:

**Responsibilities and daily activities:**
· Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment - Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily but not necessarily exclusively based on mechanical principles.
· Identifying potential failure or deterioration of Machinery and Equipment.
· Determine cause of potential failure or performance deterioration, and either complete remedial work during shift or brief Manager or Supervisor on issue, cause and recommended solution.
· Remove and replace worn components.
· Pipe fitting and Plumbing techniques to include the assembly and installation of pipe sections, fittings and fixtures for Steam, Gas, Hot and cold water systems, Heating systems, Cooling Systems, Sprinkler systems, Drains and Drainage systems, Industrial production and processing systems.
· Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems.
· Carry out Preventative Maintenance tasks as scheduled to the required standard.
· Carry out monitoring, repairs, fault diagnosis & inspection of key equipment such as Cooling Towers, Pressure systems, Production machinery and equipment, etc. to keep Client compliant with legislation.
· Prevent losses (equipment damage), accidents or injuries through use or maintenance of equipment.
· Conduct continuous Equipment observation, identifying potential safety risks and taking necessary actions to remove the hazard.
· Conduct risk assessment prior to any maintenance work and ensure conclusions are implemented prior to start of work to remove hazards.
· Ensure equipment is handed back to production in 100% safe condition.
· Be aware of incident reports and work with operational managers to promptly implement solutions to prevent re-occurrence.
· Complete corrective actions during shift to return equipment to standard output, quality and waste levels.
· Respond immediately to equipment failures during your shift.
· Conduct systematic, rigorous, accurate fault diagnosis and determine most effective solution to faults and to prevent reoccurrence.
· Preparation of Steam Boilers for Annual Inspections.
· Problem solving faults and breakdowns on Steam Boilers.
· Identify, recommend and implement Equipment and process improvements.
· Identify opportunities to reduce the time taken for activities and develop and recommend solutions to improve the time taken.
· Inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
· Attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
· Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, or related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, or threading joints.
