We are currently working with a leading M&E contractor seeking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team on a major project at Heathrow Airport.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and technically skilled professional to join a well-established business delivering high-value, complex mechanical packages within a secure and regulated environment.

The Role:
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full delivery of mechanical services, from design coordination and procurement to installation, commissioning, and handover. You’ll be working closely with clients, consultants, and specialist subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and programme targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the mechanical delivery of large-scale airport works

Oversee project planning, coordination, and site delivery

Lead subcontractor management and quality assurance

Chair site meetings and liaise with the client team

Ensure compliance with all health & safety protocols

Collaborate with commercial teams to manage variations and reporting

Track progress against programme and ensure timely delivery

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in building services

Previous airport or similar secure environment project experience highly desirable

Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and HVAC

Confident communicator, client-facing, and solution-oriented

SMSTS or equivalent H&S certification

Right to work in the UK – no sponsorship available

The role involves managing projects from start to finish, including site surveys, design, estimation, procurement, supervision of labour, commissioning, and final handover. Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget is a key responsibility.

The successful candidate will lead a team of at least two PAYE installation engineers and coordinate additional subcontractors as needed.
