An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pest Control Officer / Technical Inspector to join a well-established testing and certification company. This is a field based remote role offering excellent benefits and a salary up to £34,000 plus £5,040 car allowance for 37.5 hours work week.

As a Pest Control Officer / Technical Inspector , you will carry out inspections and audits across diverse facilities, producing detailed reports and supporting service excellence. You will be required to travel London and Home counties.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing accurate photographic reports for clients.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of reports in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Managing and scheduling assignments across multiple locations.
  • Promoting the organisation’s range of services to support business growth.

What we are looking for

  • Previously worked as a Pest Control Officer, Technical Inspector, Pest Control Manager, Pest Control Inspector, Advanced Pest Control Technician or in a similar role.
  • Hands-on pest control experience across various facility types.
  • RSPH Level 2 Award or Certificate in Pest Management.
  • BPCA Advanced Technician in Pest Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of pest biology, behaviour, and control methods, including rodents, birds, insects, and more.
  • Familiarity with pesticide storage, transport, application equipment, and protective equipment.

 Elite Recruitment is proud to be working for a very busy Pest Control Company located near Slough.  They are currently looking for a Pest Control Assistant to work the Summer until end of September/October.

This is a temporary position paying £12.60 per hour.

You will be given full training and a Company van and will go around to specific locations to place bait in rat traps.  You are not likely to meet any rats, just lay the bait and come away!

You will then complete a report to show that the bait has been laid and is given in at the main offices in Slough

From Slough you will cover: London, Berkshire, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckingham and Hampshire and Bromley areas.

What you need to do this job:

You need to be over the age of 22 for insurance purposes

Have been driving for over 2 years with no more than 3 points on your licence

Be happy to travel in a Company van around London and the Home Counties daily

Be able to use a tablet for the writing of reports

Live relatively local to Slough

Happy for the Company to gain a DBS on you.

Physically fit to be able to fetch and carry of traps and bait and driving for 7.5 hours each day.

Please note a fuel card will be provided to cover the cost of the petrol along with a Van for work purposes only.

Who are we?

Established in 2000, Modern Networks provides information and communications technology solutions and support to businesses nationwide.  

This role sits within our Hitchin based Finance team - we are a small, multi-functional team that's worked hard to create a culture of continuous improvement.  Whist the primary function of the role will be Billing and Collections, you will also be exposed to other areas of the deparment (specifically Accounts Payable) in order to encourage transfer of best practices accross the department.

We work Mon-Fri (from either 08:00 - 16:30 or 08:30 - 17:00), and are office based 4 days a week, and 1 day working from home.

What's the Job?

This an integral role in our finance function, ensuring delivery excellence in the Order to Cash function & driving great business partnerships with our Commercial Teams.  The main content of the job is delivering cash in from customers from all group companies through billing on company systems (we've been growing by acquisition, so there are multiple systems).  We've recently merged tbe Billing and Credit Control teams, as collections are mainly dependent on valid PO's, and billing as per agreed contract, so main activities will be resolving billing queries with customers and internal stakeholders (e.g. sales team); and discussing collection issues with customers, as required.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a high volume, multi-entity environment.
  • li>Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), building stakeholder confidence through regular and clear dialogue.  li>Good systems experience - working with ConnectWise/ aBillity advantageous, but not essential.
  • A team player with high level of dedication.
