The Role/Company
The company are a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy working on a variety of projects across sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, leisure, retail, industrial and residential ranging from £5 - £200 million in value.
The right candidate will be rewarded with an interesting and satisfying career with the opportunity to be working on complex and challenging designs in a wide range of structures, materials and design solutions.
The successful senior structural engineer should be able to communicate effectively with design team members and be technically competent with the design of structures to current design standards with a willingness to learn and develop.
Requirements
- BEng/MSc/MEng (or equivalent) Civil/Structural Engineering 2:1 or above
- Chartered member of ICE/IStructE or working towards chartered status
- Minimum of 6 years UK design experience
- Sound technical skills and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills
- Software experience in Tekla, TEDDS would be desirable.
- Ambitious with a drive to succeed and be part of a successful team

The work includes a wide variety of buildings structures projects, including large complex schemes up up to 200m, to small, local client schemes. Work is both UK and international with interested clients such as F1 Teams, motor manufacturers, schools/universities, contractors and developers.
The firm have been running for over 50 years, continually invest in their people and keep up to date with new technologies. They have a low staff turnover and pride themselves on technical excellence and delivery of projects on time and to high standard.
You will be responsible for providing and managing a wide range of structural engineering services and will have the opportunity to be involved in all sorts of tasks, from surveys of large commercial and industrial buildings, to design of blue light services buildings and challenging multi-storey developments. You will be involved in the management, supervision and mentoring of junior team members and overseeing projects.
You should ideally be Chartered MICE or MIStructE or nearing this status.
