Job Title: CWD Social Worker
Location: Liverpool (Hybrid working)
Salary: 38-42 per hour

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CWD (Children with Disabilities) Social Worker to join a well-established team in Liverpool. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home while also spending time in the office and at client locations. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of children with disabilities, ensuring effective care planning, safeguarding, and working closely with families and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of children with disabilities, ensuring each child's care and support needs are met through tailored care plans.

  • Safeguarding: Work closely with families, agencies, and other professionals to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in your care.

  • Assessments & Reviews: Conduct initial assessments, care plan reviews, and ongoing evaluations of children's needs, ensuring that all interventions are appropriate and effective.

  • Collaboration: Liaise with various professionals, including healthcare providers, schools, and other social services, to coordinate care and ensure positive outcomes for children and families.

  • Court Work: Prepare and present reports for court when required, including safeguarding concerns and care plan recommendations.

  • Support and Guidance: Provide support to families, ensuring they are equipped to care for their child with disabilities and are aware of available resources.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, adhering to relevant legislation and guidelines, ensuring compliance with the regulatory framework.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant qualifications (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, CSS) and HCPC registration.

  • Experience working in Children with Disabilities (CWD) or related fields is essential.

  • A thorough understanding of relevant legislation, including Children Act 1989, Care Act 2014, and The Children and Families Act 2014.

  • Experience in court work and writing reports for legal proceedings.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, managing a caseload with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with families, children, and professionals.

  • Good knowledge of the local authority frameworks and safeguarding procedures.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
