Monday to Friday (overtime available)

Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;
Street lighting maintenance
Sign and bollard maintenance
New installations
Emergency call out attendance (additional payments when out of hours)
Winter maintenance (additional payments when out of hours)

Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;
To maintain the electrical assets within the highway to TFL's required standard by carrying out safe, good quality repairs.

Formal qualifications required;
C&G 2360 or equivalent
AM1 / AM2 or equivalent
18th Edition Regs
Testing & Inspection
G39
Full UK Driving license

Skills required;
Enthusiastic team player
Flexible in terms of working hours
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Demonstrated Initiative
Ability to work to deadlines
Able to use basic computer programmes i.e. Word, Excel etc
Good time management
Effective communicator
IPAF (MEWP)
HGV
Crane Operator Licence (HIAB)
CSCS card

Experience required;
Time served electrician with good all-round knowledge of electrical circuits. Worked in either exterior lighting applications or directly in Street Lighting

Knowledge;
Local London network knowledge
Streetworks reinstatement
Traffic management

Personal qualities;
Can do, will do attitude
Willing to speak up when something does not seem safe
Open, adaptable, team player

The role

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Streetlighting Operative for column and lantern installation works in the North London area.

In this position, you will work closely with our capital teams to uphold the highest standards of street lighting, signage, and associated electrical works.

Essential criteria;

Who we are looking for

  • Experience: Proven experience in street lighting installations.
    • li>Qualifications: G39 certification, NRSWA certification, MEWP certification and ECS Test. li>Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Health and Safety regulations. li>Driving Licence: Hold a full clean UK driving licence. li>First Aid: A First Aid certification is required for our Appointed Person.

Role and responsibilities;

What your role will include:

    li>Quality Control: Conducting testing and inspections of new electrical installations to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. li>Installation: Expertly installing a variety of electrical equipment/ li>Wiring: Skilfully terminating and joining cables to guarantee optimal functionality and safety. li>Maintenance: Performing routine electrical maintenance tasks. li>Troubleshooting: Diagnosing electrical faults, identifying root causes, and efficiently replacing faulty components. li>Underground Cable Maintenance: Utilising your expertise to locate and repair faults in underground cables. li>Inspections: Conducting comprehensive visual inspections, including optical, structural, and electrical assessments. li>Project Support: Undertaking any additional tasks necessary to ensure the successful delivery of electrical projects.

Vanta Staffing Slough are looking for Grounds Maintenance operatives to work ongoing for our client based in Slough, we are looking for candidates with a FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE and some commercial vehicle driving experience.

Monday – Friday – 07.00 – 16.30

Working as a grounds maintenance operative your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • General maintenance, e.g. grass cutting, hedge trimming, clearing leaves and litter, verges
  • Erect/dismantle equipment
  • Horticulture activities, e.g. planting, pruning and seeding
    • Setting out, making sports pitches including grass, tarmac, sports hall surfaces
    • Upkeep of artificial, synthetic pitches
    • Tree care/Arboriculture
    • Painting sundry equipment
    • Operate light plant and power tools
    • Undertake vehicle. tractor, cutting equipment checks
