Job Description

Group Supply Chain Manager

Ideally Based anywhere across UK (must be prepared to get to one of their sites in the South East) or EU sites

Attractive Basic Salary + 25% bonus + £1k/month car allowance

You’ve probably read job ads before that say:

“Must be a strategic leader.”
And then go on to list 27 things that sound suspiciously like a glorified admin role.

This isn’t that.

This is a real Group-level position, where you’ll be setting supply chain strategy across Europe and making it stick. And here’s the twist — you won’t have any direct reports.

Instead, your influence is your power.

The local teams – UK, Spain, Holland etc– technically report into their own leaders. But to make any of it work at group level, they need to buy into you . You’ll be the one shaping the European strategy for demand planning, logistics, inventory and ERP rollout — and then ensuring it actually happens on the ground.

That takes credibility. It takes presence. And it absolutely takes a background in food or beverage manufacturing .

This bit isn’t negotiable. You need to know the pressures, the pace, the pain points. So if your experience sits outside food and drink — this one’s not for you.

You’ll report into the Group Head of Ops. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Europe. And you’ll spend the first few months doing the travel-heavy, sleeves-up work to build relationships and gain trust. (You decide what your rhythm looks like after that.)

The UK is probably the toughest region — brand-new team, lots of change, loads to fix. But the opportunity to make a mark? Massive.

The salary is attractive to entice the right talent. Bonus up to 50% (25% target), £1k car allowance, and location flexibility as long as you're near a major site.

Could be a step up. Could be your legacy role. Either way, you need to be smart, brave, and able to get people pulling in the same direction without needing a fancy job title to do it.

Sounds like you then get in touch now to discuss further
