Our client, a leading Food manufacturer is urgently looking for a Supply Chain Lead to join their site in Coventry and manage their overall inbound and outbound supply chain process.

You will lead a team to ensure the adequate supply of raw materials and packaging for production; as well as overseeing the timely despatch of finished products to meet customer service levels.

On Offer:

  • Salary will be circa 45K to 50K + 10% Bonus.
  • The role will be based onsite in the Coventry area.
  • 25 leave days + 8 bank holidays

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage planning, procurement, production, inventory control, internal logistics and distribution to customers and third-party storage.
  • Maximising service levels and customer satisfaction, whilst maintaining control of inventory levels.
  • Manage lead times on all procurement requirements.
  • Lead the team ensuring they meet agreed KPI standards and manage according to budget and operational capacity.
  • Ensure production forecasts and promotional activity is clearly communicated to all relevant departments in a timely manner which ensures the site is adequately resourced to meet this requirement.
  • Monitoring stock levels and tracking products.

Candidate requirements:

  • A degree or relevant professional qualification.
  • At least 3 to 5 years Supply Chain experience in a Food or Drinks manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated Purchasing, Inventory Management, Materials Planning, Stock Replenishment or Outbound Logistics management experience in a FMCG environment.
  • Effective people management and leadership skills.
  • ERP systems experience (SAP will be a strong advantage)
