Our client are looking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager to join their growing Business Delivery team. This is a newly created role designed to bridge the gap between procurement and dispatch.

This office based roe is ideal for someone who may have come from an SME and thrives on solving problems, streamlining processes, and creating a positive team culture. We are not just looking for technical ability, but someone who's genuinely supportive, value-driven, and enjoys working with people.

In this role, you will lead and develop the logistics and procurement functions, reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain. You'll be responsible for managing a small team, refining supply chain processes, reviewing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and improve logistics processes to drive efficiency
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, focusing on printed stock and third-party delivery
  • Resolve issues effectively and act as a key point of escalation
  • Drive operational improvements in collaboration with other teams
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate terms in line with compliance standards
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and service
  • Maintain accurate and up to date supplier documentation
  • Manage a team of six, including a junior procurement assistant
  • Conduct 1-1's and lead performance reviews, supporting professional development
  • Champion a positive and inclusive team culture
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
  • Support strategic procurement planning and ISO compliance

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in logistics, procurement or supply chain management
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills
  • Hands on, practical mind-set with excellent problem-solving ability
  • Experience working in a small to medium business environment
  • Familiarity with salesforce would be a bonus

**Job Description**
You will be part of the Sheet Metal unit of production's supply chain team. The team is composed of 13 members who are dedicated to ensuring deliveries are on time, at the right quantity and at the right cost and quality to our internal customers.
The sheet metal unit of production is multi program (A320 Neo, Pearl 700, etc.) and comprises more than twenty work centers.
Your role will be a mix of supply chain activities focusing mainly on external scheduling and continuous improvement activities.
You will be in charge of supporting the external scheduler and the line manager in supplying sheet metal items (portfolio is 900 P/N from a dozen supplier) as well as the sub contrators for treatment of parts. You will participate to the daily meetings and have to report on performance with associated root cause. You will carry out data analysis to support decision making by the management team. You will also be asked to cover an amount of 5S activities on the shopfloor linked to inventory management for items shipping out to our subcontractors.
You will also support the Supply Chain Manager with the One Safran maturity audits and associated actions to work towards MRP II Class A Standards.
**Job Requirements**

Master's degree in Supply Chain / Operations Management or Supply Chain Option
Experience in the industry (apprenticeship or internship)
Good knowledge and understanding of the principles of MRP2
Basic knowledge of business economics
Proficient knowledge of Excel and Power point
