Technical Project Manager Job Overview
Our client, who provide professional electronic Fire & Security solutions, design, installation and maintenance services, are looking for a new Technical Project Manager to join their growing team. Our client is paying a salary of up to 55,000+, door to door travel pay, and 25 days annual leave. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the overall delivery of commercial security projects. Key duties include liaising with clients, managing profit and loss, handling project variations, supervising engineers, and offering technical expertise when required. You'll also be responsible for resource planning and ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.

The ideal candidate will be based in the South East, preferably near Surrey, to allow travel to the office when needed. The role will involve nationwide travel and occasional overseas work in Europe, depending on client contracts.

You will have experience of event production for in person meetings that includes oversight of suppliers responsible for the operation of audiovisual equipment including microphones, lighting, projectors and video conferencing tools to ensure the smooth running of presentations and interactive audience engagement sessions. You will feel confident collaborating with vendors and suppliers to troubleshoot technical issues and overcome the challenges that can occur in the delivery of live meetings and events.

The Role:

As the Technical Manager, you will be the key operational leader and the primary point of contact for our client on-site.   • Client Relationship Management:

    • Manage team rotas, holiday leave, and emergency call-out arrangements to ensure robust site coverage.
  • Compliance, Health & Safety:
    • Ensure strict adherence to all relevant statutory regulations, British Standards, Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs - if applicable), and company Health & Safety policies.
    • Be accountable for all aspects of health and safety on site, including risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), Permit-to-Work systems, and ensuring a zero-harm environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven Experience: Significant experience (minimum of 5 years) in a supervisory/managerial role within the building maintenance or facilities management sector, specifically managing a critical or high-profile site.
