Job Summary:

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing technical projects from conception to completion. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure projects are delivered at a high rate, within scope, and that complexity is managed as the company grows. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of high-frequency trading systems, post-trade STP, and cryptocurrency payment systems. They should also have some exposure to cloud-based systems, ideally AWS.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, owning the delivery process of the technology group within Laser Digital
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Understand and contribute to the systems architecture of high-frequency trading systems, post-trade settlement, and cryptocurrency payment systems.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and stakeholders across all our offices on 4 continents.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and both internal and external client expectations.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders and senior management, including preparing and presenting regular progress updates to the Executive Committee
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status reports.


Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of high-frequency trading systems, post-trade settlement, and cryptocurrency payment systems.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a background in a startup environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project).
  • Experience working with international teams.
  • Suggested academic level: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
