We are looking for a Trade Floor Support Technician to work for an established Investment financial management company based in London.


As a Trade Floor Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our trading floor systems and providing technical support to our traders and other staff members. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, maintaining hardware and software systems, and assisting with implementing new technologies.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure smooth operation of trading floor systems by providing uninterrupted operation of trading systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This involves promptly resolving technical issues and minimizing downtime to ensure traders can execute trades efficiently.
  • Provide prompt technical support to traders and staff members on the trading floor, resolving hardware, software, and network issues related to trading applications, market data feeds, and connectivity.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance and availability of trading floor systems, performing regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, system backups, and security patches.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and support trading-related infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operation of trading systems.
  • Assist in installing, configuring, and testing trading software and hardware components, working closely with IT teams to ensure successful technology implementation.
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations accurately, maintaining comprehensive records for future reference and effective communication within the team.


Requirements:


  • Experience in providing technical support in a trading floor or financial services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of trading systems, including order management systems, execution platforms, and market data feeds.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience in Bloomberg Terminal.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Multi Skilled / Plumber will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of Fabric Technician duties, including planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive maintenance tasks. The role requires a customer-focused approach, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards and within safety guidelines.

KEY REPSONSIBLITIES

Perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks, from basic plumbing to maintenance to building fabric of the building. Multi-skilled role so a handy man who has relevant experience within a similar setting. 

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role working within commercial contracts carrying out PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance on a multiple commercial contracts.

You will be responsible for maintaining several different buildings with carpentry, roofing and general multi trade skills.

Ideally someone with experience with one or more of the following:

Carpenter & Joiner

Plumber

Multi skill maintenance

Builder was self employed.

Experience in the FM, retail or public building sectors is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with clients.

A flexible, proactive and customer-focused approach to your work.

A full UK driving licence, as driving is required for the role, due to the reactive nature of the works.

Ensure all work is executed safely and to the highest standard.

Maintain accurate records of all tasks performed.

Participate in an on-call rota.

Deliver exceptional customer service.

Maintain a presentable, courteous, and helpful demeanour always.

Manage workload effectively and prioritize tasks.

Flexibility to work out of hours when required.

The role in a nutshell

The role of Trade Support Executive provides support to the wider Trade sales team to drive trade bookings for the business through travel agents. The successful individual should be highly organised and able to manage their time and a busy workload effectively ensuring deadlines are met and accuracy is maintained at all times. Candidates applying should relish a challenge and have a flexible approach to work, embracing change to help shape the department. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Key Duties:
* Provide office support for Trade Sales Team
* Monitor incentives, organise prize distribution
* Assist with telephone account management and booking system training where required
* Build strong rapport and supportive relationships with Travel Agents
* Support reservations to build the trade relationships
* Order merchandise, account gifts and prizes as required

* Attending information sessions, cruise shows and Fam Trips as required sometimes involving overseas travel and nights away from home
* Due to the nature of the role in a rapidly growing company, this role will change and adapt over time and the individual should be excited and adaptable for new challenges this will bring

Experienced Required:
The successful candidate will already have travel industry experience, ideally with good working knowledge of Microsoft office and internal holiday booking systems. You will be self-motivated with good initiative, as well as being results and target orientated. This is a rapidly growing role so an exciting time to join the team, and really put your stamp on this position.

The Package:
In return for your hard work, an excellent basic salary is offered in the region of 26k pa dependent on experience, along with various company benefits.

About the Role

Youll be joining a tight-knit operations team at a busy anaerobic digestion plant. Your day to day will cover a mix of general site upkeep, equipment checks, fault finding, and basic mechanical and electrical tasks. This isnt a role where youll be stuck doing the same thing, every day is varied with different tasks. Youll be one of the people on the ground making sure the plant stays safe, efficient, and fully operational.

About the Client

This opportunity is with a leading name in renewable energy, operating an established anaerobic digestion facility in Hertfordshire. The plant plays a key role in converting local food and agricultural waste into renewable energy and biofertiliser helping to close the loop on sustainability and contribute to a greener future. It's a site that runs efficiently, with safety and innovation at the forefront and theyre looking for someone who can slot into that vision.


Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5 pm.

This position also has 1 week on call in 5 which is , 8am- 6 pm Monday to Friday and

Saturday 8 am - 1pm

Key Duties

  • Carrying out day-to-day site tasks to keep operations running smoothly

  • Routine checks and maintenance on equipment

  • Identifying and reporting faults or areas for improvement

  • Working closely with the plant manager and technical team to support operational efficiency

  • Keeping the working environment clean, tidy, and safe

  • Occasional basic mechanical or electrical fixes (training provided if needed)

Key Requirements
  • Previous hands-on experience in an industrial, agricultural, or technical setting

  • Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons

  • Practical approach to fault finding and problem solving

  • Reliable, punctual, and happy to work as part of a small team
