Overview

Weredog is a unique adult product design and manufacturing company based in Bristol, UK. We're known for our creativity, quality, and community-focused approach. We are seeking a motivated Web & Systems Developer to join our team to manage our website, enhance our customer experience, and support internal digital systems.

Role

You will oversee the day-to-day management and development of our WooCommerce-based website, including maintaining and enhancing custom-built plugins that support our customer order processes. You'll ensure our website is professional, responsive, fast, and consistently meets customer expectations.

Additionally, you’ll support internal systems, assisting with tasks such as fixing hardware (e.g., ticket printers), updating internal software tools, and collaborating closely with internal teams to identify and solve digital workflow issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update our WooCommerce-based website, ensuring performance and visual quality.
  • Maintain and improve custom-built plugins essential for order processing.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand challenges and implement effective digital solutions.
  • Provide technical support for internal hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Develop new website pages, features, and functionalities in alignment with our brand and user needs.

Requirements

  • Experience with WooCommerce, WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Familiarity with custom plugin and theme development or ability to learn quickly.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting hardware and basic IT issues (e.g., printers, computers).
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical team members
  • Previous experience in e-commerce or similar environment.
  • Basic knowledge of UX/UI principles.
  • Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.
