An exciting and challenging role working in the Keysight Protocol Test team, involved in validation and verification of Keysight’s industry-leading 5G Test product. We are seeking an individual who is willing to undertake some of the dynamic challenges provided within the team. The role will provide the opportunity to:
- Gain practical software verification and validation experience, putting theory into practice across the full software development lifecycle.
- Become familiar with the 5G protocol, and with Keysight 5G Protocol Test systems.
Duties and responsibilities
Work will be varied between project work and day-to-day activities. These will include some or all of:
- Learn about technology basics and 3GPP / 5G specifications.
- Working with experienced engineers developing new features and/or test cases for the 5G Test product
- Contribute to the verification of different communication scenarios beyond 5G
- Collaborate in the development/verification of network emulator protocol/application functionality.
- Debugging 5G issues reported by customers.
Essential Skills
- Currently undertaking one of the following courses; Engineering or Computer Science oriented Degree (or equivalent).
- Some telecommunications experience.
- Familiarity with 3GPP standards (4G, or 5G) and digital communication technologies.
- Some software development experience.
- Pro-active team member / problem solver and ability to communicate effectively.
Desirables
- Experience working on software and/or hardware outside the academic environment.
- Experience using C#, C, C++, Python or Java
