We have an exciting opportunity for a ASB & Cuckooing Recovery Coordinator  who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users affected by cuckooing and anti-social behaviour (ASB) as a result of addiction, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

Our Camden service is multi-disciplinary, that consist of a service manager, consultant psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, health care assistants, recovery staff, volunteers, administrators and peer mentors, all focused on bringing the individuals using our services the best possible support & interventions.

 

Where:   Camden, Greater London.

When: We ar e looking to get the right person into the team ASAP  

Hours: 37.5

Salary : £26,393 - £30,316 dependent on experience Plus Inner London Weighting £3,915.44

 

Responsibilities

About the role:  

 

  • Supporting cuckooing victims to access treatment.

  • Supporting in hotspot operations and focussing on prolific shoplifters to access treatment.    

  • Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral  
  • Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community  
  • Support criminal justice services to better understand local drug and alcohol support, treatment
    pathways, harm minimisation approaches and provide information on the suitability of treatment 
    interventions
  • Providing advocacy for access to partnership services  
  • Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination  
  • The ASB & Cuckooing Recovery Coordinator will sit within the Criminal Justice Intervention Team (CJIT) which specialises in supporting people referred from prison and probation services for support with drug and/or alcohol addiction.
  • The people supported by this role may be victims of cuckooing and anti-social behaviour as well as subject to enforcement by Police or housing services due to complaints about ASB as a result to their home being cuckooed. 
  • Once settled in, you will be based in one of the country’s most exciting cities, meeting people who use our services and building relationships with local groups, support communities and organisations (Including the Metropolitan Police Cuckooing Team).

 

About you:  

 

  • Have a str ong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field.  
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills.  
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills .
  • Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice.  
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders .
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users.
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others.
  • Work in collaboration with our in-house group-work and employment specialists to support people struggling with addiction.
  • Have the passion to make a difference in the lives of those you support, creating respectful and safe environments where people who use our services feel able to make lasting and significant change.
  • Have the ability to connect quickly and meaningfully with new people and be confident supporting those facing acute difficulties.
