Overview

Element has an opportunity for a new Accountant (Group Reporting) to join and strengthen a best-in-class, growing Group finance function. This is a permanent role and is a great opportunity to develop your career within a global business and add value to the team.

 

The role will work within our Group Reporting and Financial Control team and requires partnering with various key finance stakeholders cross-border. Stakeholders will include Group FP&A and finance systems, tax, shared service centre finance teams and local finance contacts worldwide.

 

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Finance Director with key elements of the role to include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of the year end glossy annual report in conjunction with Group Communications team
  • Assisting with implementing financial controls and process improvements across the wider Group
  • Assisting with month end reporting, including the review and reporting of Group IFRS results
  • Supporting with the interpretation of IFRS standards together with the application of judgement to determine recommendations on accounting treatment
  • Supporting with M&As
  • Supporting the Head of Reporting & Financial Control with the year-end audit in providing information requested by the external auditors
  • Offering proactive resolution of accounting queries from Shared Service Centres and local finance teams
Skills / Qualifications
  • Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g ACA, CPA, ACCA), with some post qualification experience
  • Experience working within a professional accounting practice
  • Experience with financial controls and processes
  • Solid understanding of all IFRS technical accounting standards is required for this role
  • Flexible and comfortable with a transformation setting
  • Self-starter with ability to work autonomously, on own initiative
  • Experience working in a multi-currency environment and a global business
  • Experience with Consolidation and Group reporting
