Full Job Description

Accounts Assistant required. My client is a top 50+50 accountancy practice based nearby to Lyme Regis (West Dorset). They have a number of offices based in the South West of England and due to recent expansion are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team.

My client is looking for an Accountants to join them on a permanent basis. You will undertake both practical and theoretical training whilst potentially studying for qualification under an apprenticeship agreement. This is a truly fantastic opportunity to progress your career to the next level.

Accounts Assistant Position Overview

• Prepare financial statements - limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Provide bookkeeping services to our clients
• Prepare personal and corporate tax computations and returns
• File Companies House and HM Revenue & Customs documents on behalf of your clients
• Keep accounting records up to date on a regular basis
• Prepare and complete quarterly VAT returns
• General admin duties to support the Partners, Managers and office

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an accountancy practice and be AAT qualified/part-qualified.

Accounts Assistant Position Requirements

• Previous experience working in an accountancy practice (essential)
• Knowledge/experience with accounting software's (essential)
• Good understanding of IT and ability to learn new IT skills quickly
• Have a professional and team orientated approach
• Ability to take initiative, prioritise and meet deadlines
• A highly organised individual

Accounts Assistant Position Remuneration

• 22,500-23,500 basic salary
• Hybrid working is considered
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays
