Accounts Assistant

Location - Wells

Salary- £26,000 - £31,00 DOE

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join a growing accountancy practice team as an Accounts Assistant. 

Responsibilities:

• Dealing with client queries via email and telephone.
• Liaising with HMRC
• Bookkeeping and the preparation of VAT returns
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Preparation of financial statements for a wide variety of clients, including sole traders, partnerships (including farms), limited companies and charities ready for manager/partner review from source records and accounting software.

Requirements:

• AAT qualified or alternatively qualified by experience with a minimum of 2-3 years of working in an accountancy practice.
• Good knowledge of various accounting software such as Sage, Freeagent and Quickbooks is essential.
