The Role - Accounts Supervisor
Salary - 40k - depending on
experience.
Location - Motherwell, North Lanarkshire
Hours -
37.5 hours per week
As an Accounts Supervisor, you will be
responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workings of the business
support team and carrying out bookkeeping duties. You will need to
have both Bookkeeping and Management/Team Leader experience, although
experience within the construction industry is desirable, we are open
to candidates who can demonstrate a wealth of bookkeeping experience
from other sectors.
What You'll Do:
* Undertake
sales and purchase ledger responsibilities
* Utilise Sage 50
Accounts for general bookkeeping
* Manage payroll tasks
*
Conduct management reporting and analysis, including P&L
* Carry
out bank reconciliations and month/year-end reconciliations
*
Generate invoices and payment schedules
* Monitor and manage
accounting software, including producing invoice reminders and chasing
overdue payments
* Process statutory returns in VAT Returns and
C.I.S Returns according to HMRC timescales
* Supervise
administrative staff and provide guidance and support
* Delegate
tasks to the administrative team
* Maintain office supplies and
equipment inventory
* Oversee facilities management of the office
building
* Assist with human resources tasks, such as recruiting,
onboarding, and employee relations
What You'll Need:
* Proficiency in Sage 50 accounts or another finance
software
* Experience with Sage Payroll (desirable)
* Finance
experience within the construction industry (desirable)
* Strong
knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
*
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
*
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Excellent verbal and written
communication skills
* Confident ability to lead and manage
others
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
* A
high level of discretion and confidentiality
* Proactive in
managing pressure and deadlines
