Full Job Description

Loughton Health Centre has an opportunity for an enthusiastic & motivated administration manager to join our friendly practice support team on a full time basis, for 37 hours per week

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Receiving instructions from and be responsible to the partners and the practice manager of the business.
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of clerical and administration services provided by the practice.
  • Chairing administration meetings and initiate and follow up action agreed.
  • Having overall responsibility for the admin training.
  • Co-ordinating projects (e.g. QOF ) and mobilising staff effectively.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of all staff absences.
  • Supervising and having overall responsibility for the day-to-day admin and clerical practice staff.
  • Carrying out staff appraisals for non-clinical staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety, employment, data protection and other relevant legislation.
  • Keeping updated on any new IT developments and taking a key role in futures changes. 
About the Candidate

If you are a well organised person, who thrives in a busy working environment where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you. 

You will have strong interpersonal skills,  excellent written and communication skills, with a history of team management.

You will need to be well organised with the ability to work under pressure, remaining calm, focused and approachable.

A knowledge of and experience in general practice is an advantage.
