Position Objective:
To provide administrative support for the Membership Services Department
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Prepare high dollar donation report; gather and check all source documents for processing by Major and Legacy gifts
• Answer a direct phone line, including calls forwarded from reception, members, and general public
• Receive member contact forms and e-mails from the PETA INFO account; update records and reply accordingly
• Process request for removal in response to prospect mailings from the organization
• Upload paper mail received from members to the donor database and assign for follow-up
• Review, sort, and redirect petitions received from members from direct mail fundraising
• Retrieve and distribute interdepartmental mail
• Prepare and submit departments invoices for payment through Sage payments platform
• Pull and send credit-card batches to the Finance Department for source retention
• Receive survey responses from caging vendors and enter into database
• Maintain office inventory of stationary and special gift cards
• Identify and reverse returned checks from financial database
• Submit documentation and provide acknowledgement for property gifts
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
• High school education or higher
• Minimum of one year of data entry experience
• Previous clerical experience working in an office environment
• Proven knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with Microsoft Office programs
• Typing speed of 40 words per minute
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. on a regular basis
• Demonstrated effective organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• COVID-19 full vaccination and booster recommended
• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
