Mediplacements are looking to recruit a band 6 Speech and Language Therapist for a locum position with our client in London. The pay for this position is £23-£28 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.JOB PURPOSE:To be accountable for clinical service to adults with communication and swallowing difficulties as relevant, ensuring that the service is effective and responsive to the changing needs of the local population across London. To ensure effective joint working practice between own service, other speech & language therapists (SLT) and other relevant professional teams in the fields of health, the voluntary sector, social services etc.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1.

To hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision. 2. To provide shared SLT support to the Neuro-Timely service 3.

To work as a member of the speech and language therapy team, contributing to the planning, development and delivery of an effective and efficient service. 4. To contribute, as a member of the speech and language therapy team, to the evaluation and audit of practice.

5. This may lead to the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to service protocols/care pathways. 6.

To liaise with other involved agencies and with clients and carers to provide an integrated service.7.
