RP International have partnered with a worldwide media outlet to shortlist for a Delivery Lead (Content Management Systems) . This Delivery Lead position is a permanent hybrid working role based in London and offers a salary of up to £85k depending on your experience and alignment to the role.


We are seeking an agile Delivery Lead to join the Group’s product delivery team. The remit of the role is to plan, manage and deliver the roadmap for across Content and Product teams, who develop the vital backend means to provide award-winning journalism to mobile, web and B2B experiences. In the role, you will be required to understand how the work of the team affects, and is affected by, the broader CMS programme, both within Content and for consuming teams.


You will work with all relevant stakeholders to align work and minimise impact of these dependencies. You will work with your teams to identify how their work ties up to broader business initiatives, and to track progress towards these initiatives. You will collaborate with other Delivery Leads to identify and implement aligned ways of working to encourage joined up and iterative delivery of functionality to customers.


Accountabilities

  • Lead and manage two content delivery teams comprising both internal and external team members.
  • Perform the role of Scrum Master/Agile Coach.
  • Review end-to-end delivery and agile ways of working to ensure the team is working optimally across product, design, engineering and QA.
  • Use agile metrics (cycle time, throughput, Monte Carlo) to optimise team planning, estimation and ways of working.
  • Create and maintain a detailed roadmap plan (Jira Plan aka Advanced Roadmap).
  • Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies across the teams.


Experience, skills and professional attributes

  • Experience working in CMS software development teams and / or content APIs and feeds.
  • Strong understanding of a variety of Agile approaches e.g. Scrum, Kanban, scaled Agile. Willing to not be prescriptive, and instead adapt ways of working as appropriate.
  • Understanding and proven experience making actionable use of Scrum and Kanban metrics (cycle time, throughput, Monte Carlo), with associated tools.
  • Strong servant leadership, time management, facilitation and organisational skills (Miro)
  • Excellent coaching / mentoring skills - leading in Communities of Practices
  • Experience managing multiple software teams and coordinating and managing dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Advanced user of Google Suite (including Jira integrations), Miro for workshop facilitation, Jira and Confluence.
  • Pragmatic and flexible, with a willingness to take on different roles and responsibilities in order to successfully deliver a project.
