Responsibilities

Working under supervision, you will be responsible for working with the Sector Lead in developing and implementing a program of thought leadership, insight and analysis which will position Avison Young as expert commentators on all aspects of the UK’s office sector. This position will utilise your interpersonal and technical skillsets along with your real estate expertise and knowledge to deliver data-driven market insights. You will play a key role across all aspects of data and analysis of the office sector in the UK. This will include the delivery and maintenance of our office sector datasets as well as the thought leadership agenda via publications, presentations and delivering market research. 

 

The role will require regular interaction business stakeholders on pitches and presentation as well as commercial opportunities as well as external clients. The role requires working with multiple stakeholders, internal and external for the delivery of projects. 

 

The role will sit within Market Intelligence but will work closely with office-focussed teams across the business. You will need to develop a good understanding of our business and build relationships across key teams and clients. The role will include process management responsibilities, including working with colleagues in other teams for mutual deadlines. Working with the sector lead and relevant stakeholders, responsibilities will include but are not limited to:  

 

  • Working with relevant teams, develop an innate understanding and expert use of our AVANT platform for the benefit of our business and clients
  • Delivery of insight and analysis on the trends impacting the office market
  • Support on new and existing business opportunities through contribution to pitches and projects
  • Working closely with the Sector Lead and key business stakeholders to develop and produce a programme of market analysis and thought leadership outputs that supports the wider business and its aims, at a local, national and global scale
  • Identify and comment on key trends in a timely manner that contribute to the wider Market Intelligence agenda that encourage collaboration across a number of sectors Work to align data gathering, process and outputs at a national and global level to create one cohesive voice
Qualifications
  • 1+ year experience in commercial real estate
  • Passionate about cities and real estate
  • Dedicated to data as an art and science
  • Interested how micro data can help better tell stories around cities and real estate markets
  • Strong Microsoft excel skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Highly strategic, organised and detail oriented
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both teammates and stakeholders
  • Team player and adaptable to fast-paced and quickly changing environments and work priorities
  • Highly creative with ability to identify and solve problems efficiently
  • Highly motivated, energetic individual with the ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision
