As an Anaplan Model builder, you will be expected to assist in the implementation of complex planning solutions using the Anaplan platform primarily for the Actuarial and Finance department as well as seeking new opportunities to develop and utilise the platform.

You will take an active role in the overall planning and establishment of an Anaplan Centre of Excellence and work closely with both Technology and Business areas to help set Chaucer on the path to Anaplan success.

Main duties
  • Liaise with the Lead Anaplanner and business to establish and deliver against an Anaplan roadmap.

  • Support colleagues both business and technical to ensure best practices are adhered to in terms of developing the Anaplan architecture.

  • Provide ad-hoc support for end-users working with live Anaplan models.

  • Work with Business Intelligence, Technology Architecture as well as Business Subject Matter experts to develop the Anaplan architecture.

  • Adhere to the change deployment processes and framework of controls across the Anaplan landscape.

  • Use Agile methodologies in to deliver against Azure DevOps Features/Epics or user stories. 

  • Help to Design, build, test, and maintain Anaplan models for key stakeholders to meet the needs of the business processes, fully utilising the functionality of the Anaplan platform.

  • Present complex technical concepts and ideas in business

  • Fully document all process and technical deliveries.

Our Requirements Relevant experience
  • Relevant experience as a financial analyst or financial systems developer using Anaplan, has consulting experience – eliciting requirements from senior stakeholders, design (play back) and build of the solution, support UAT.

  • Knowledge of actuarial processes, Lloyd’s insurance Market Experience  

Technical skills

  • Experience in designing, building, testing, and implementing new Anaplan models.

  • Knowledge of Anaplan Lifecycle Management (ALM) and change release process with DEV/UAT/ PRD

  • Expert skills in Microsoft Office Products suite, especially Excel

  • Advanced skills in SQL to enable effective analysis of different data sources.

  • VBA scripting (desirable)          

Education
  • Certified in Level 1 and 2 Anaplan Model building 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
